Ludacris, de son vrai nom Chris Bridges, est un rappeur originaire d'Atlanta. Né pendant que ses parents étaient toujours au collège, il participe déjà à quelques freestyles dans l'enceinte de l'établissement. Ses parents l'emmènent aussi aux fêtes de fin d'année où Ludacris excelle sur le dancefloor. A l'âge de 12 ans il rejoint le collectif hip-hop de Chicago les Loudmouth Hooligans. La même année il déménage pour Atlanta et commence à se produire dans bon nombres de clubs et tremplins pour nouveaux talents. En 2000 il sort son premier album Back for the First Time, à l'origine intitulé Inconegro cet opus est sortit en indépendant et est ré-édité par le géant Def Jam avec bien entendu des productions supplémentaires signées Jermaine Dupri et Timbaland Il apparaît sur le titre Phat Rabbit de Timbaland et travaille également avec Dallas Austin et Jay Dee. World of Mouf sort fin 2001, avec Dr Dre à la prod. Début 2002 il signe avec Area Codes le premier extrait de la BO de Rush Hour 2. Mais 2003 signe son retour aux albums solos avec l'excellent Chicken and Beer, son 3ème opus.
